Sony Playstation revealed this week that Playstation Talents is back and applications for the ninth edition of these awards are now open.
It is already in the ninth version. Playstation talent returns in a recurring event that has become a regular reality every year.
These awards that have been encouraging, promoting and helping the development of video games in Portugal (and beyond, of course) for a decade now, offer many support and incentives to many independent teams with few skills and conditions to create and distribute their games.
The ninth edition will start soon, with registration now open for those who wish to record their projects, which can be submitted until 23:59 on the 10th of September.
The best offers will be revealed during the month of October. The overall PlayStation Talents 2023 Best Game winner, as well as other category winners, will be announced later this year.
It should be noted that the project that won the PlayStation Talents 2023 Award for Best Game will receive economic support for the development and publication of the game by PlayStation Iberia through:
- €10,000 in cash for the development of the video game;
- support in publishing the game on PlayStation Network and multiple platforms;
- access to the PlayStation development tools;
- Promotion and marketing campaign on PlayStation channels worth €50,000;
It should be noted that the PlayStation Talents Awards began in Portugal in 2015, and since then, more than 400 projects have participated.
This year, the PlayStation Talents Awards in Portugal are divided as follows:
