Measures will be implemented in the central region and information leaflets and gifts will be distributed to raise awareness of breast cancer and its prevention
The Bois Ministry of Health, in partnership with the Departments of Women and Tourism, will organize on Friday (14/10) an information campaign in the central region of the city. The event, which will take place on the corner of Avenida Leonor Bolsoni Marques da Silva and Avenida Novi de Gulho, is part of the municipality’s special program in reference to “Pink October”.
The event, which will take place from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm, will include the distribution of informational materials and gifts to raise awareness and prevention of breast and cervical cancer for drivers passing through the venue. “Pink October” is an international movement alerting society to the dangers of breast cancer, which, according to the National Cancer Institute (INCA), is the second cancer killing tumor in Brazil.
“Reporting the risks and threats of breast cancer is essential for the population to obtain medical support. Early diagnosis can save the life of a woman with a tumor in its early stages, so the importance of such measures that raise awareness and help prevent the disease,” explained the Minister of Health, Alexander Prof.
