Italians Giulia Gaspari and Nene Valentini won the World Tennis Championships, which was held twice in Terracina, Italy, on Saturday. The competition is the most valuable with 550 points for each winning partnership.
Gaspari becomes the greatest champion in sports history with five world titles. The Italians overcame the duo formed by Brazilian Rafaela Miller with Venezuelan Patricia Diaz and won the title even with Valentini’s shoulder problems throughout the tournament.
The match ended in two sets against 0 with parts of 7/5 6/4 for the Italians. The duo repeat the 2021 achievement and lift their second World Cup together. Thus Julia won her fifth world title beating Federica Pachetta, who had four victories.
Gaspari won in 2017 and 2018 along with Pachetta herself and in 2015 with the Italian also Flaminia Dina: “I am very proud and happy for Ninny, I have no words to describe her, she is the best, strong, I only have good words to talk about. I Very proud of our work, it was a tough tournament for us, now I just want to enjoy it and go to the party,” said Gaspari.
The duo had a tournament to beat with Valentini playing all week with limitations due to shoulder pain and having to serve under: “I have no words, I’m very happy, it’s amazing, something always happens here when I come to Terracina with physical problems. I’m very happy with this achievement, a lot of feelings.”
If this time it did not work out with the Brazilian Rafaela Miller, then in the mixed doubles the player was the companion of Andre Baran in his second championship.
