The health fair in Peñaville, from October 22-23, is back after a year of hiatus due to the pandemic. The Penafiel Business Association Initiative (AEP), with the support of Penafiel City Council and Penafiel Parish Council, will focus on the topic “The impact of the pandemic on health and wellbeing” and bring together about 20 entities.
“The pandemic that hit the world in 2020 has changed habits, behaviors and even ways of accessing health care, and all this change has consequences in the daily lives of the population. In this edition, with the general theme set in the form of a hat, each participating entity will address, within its specialty effect on the health and well-being of each one,” reads a press release from the AEP.
During the two days, the eleventh edition of the Health Fair will take place in the Jardim de Calvário district of Penafiel, a central area of the city, and will bring together about 20 entities of the municipality of Penafiel associated with the provision of health care between ten in the morning and six in the evening.
“As usual, visitors will have at their disposal a wide range of free examinations for various types of diseases and specialized information on various issues related to health and well-being.
With some rules oriented according to the standards of the Directorate General of Health, this version will not provide for group activities, so the initiatives of the entities present in their kiosks will be organized, with appropriate safety rules, the organization explains.
In this edition of the Health Fair, the AEP It will also have its own stand where the “AEP Saúde” card will be presented and the activities of the Health Technician / Ancillary Course promoted by the association will be announced.
