The Minister of State for Health, Beto Brito, signed this Wednesday (19) the release of more than 100 million Brazilian reals of resources for the programs already underway. The announcement was made during the 36th Congress of the Council of Municipal Health Administrations (Cosems).
In all, there will be three major transformations, which range from health monitoring to critical disease research procedures and hospital funding. The largest investment will be made in the State Program for Strengthening Health Surveillance – Provigia, which has jumped from R$ 30 to R$ 50 million, funds earmarked for monitoring actions and strategies in municipalities. With a focus on qualification, Provigia seeks to improve transport to municipalities in a strategic way and expand the regionalization of health.
“These are resources that change the health reality of all the 399 municipalities of Paraná. Governor Ratino Jr., from the beginning of his administration, has given clear guidance to the municipal character of the government, whereby measures can reach the homes of people from Paraná,” said Beto Prieto.
Also within the scope of Population Health Services, an additional transfer of R$50 million was announced to finance the care of the complexities of medium and high-end hospitals. “We have always had full confidence in the management of Sesa and the state government. All these resources are an expression of the good relationship between the municipal and international spheres that we cultivate in Paraná,” said the Chairman of the Paraná State Municipal Secretariat. Parana, Evolesiano Leonarchic: “We have a governor who listens to our demands carefully and that is exactly why there are so many important investments that make a difference in the lives of the Paraná people,” he added.
technology Investments in research were also part of today’s announcements. In a partnership between the State Department of Health, the Institute of Technology of Paraná (Tecpar), Vucruz and the Institute of Molecular Biology of Paraná (IBMP), a cooperation agreement was signed for genetic research of populations with cancer and rare diseases in the amount of R$408,000.
“This is a historic partnership between our institutions and the Unified Health System, through Sesa. An achievement for the entire state of Paraná, where we see the field of science and technology contribute to raising the quality of health for all,” assessed Pedro Barbosa, CEO of IBMP.
For Tecpar’s chief director, Jorge Augusto Callado, the collaboration shows a recent and valuable scenario for Paraná’s health. Calado concluded, “It is a huge project for our country. This partnership benefits not only patients with rare diseases, but science and technology as a whole. Parana is making great strides to be a reference in the latest health technologies.”
Congress During the discussion tables at the 36th Conference of the Council of Municipal Health Directors (Cosems) this Wednesday, Sesa also presented other actions, strategies and investments aimed at primary health care. “This year alone, the state government has committed transfers totaling more than R$150 million to areas of direct action for primary health care. These investments are fundamental and range from UBS equipment to the cost of services for daily use by residents,” the Secretariat’s Director of Health Care and Oversight highlighted Maria Goretti, David Lopez.
Among the released resources, government investment incentives in health transport stand out, which amounted to R$88.19 million.
Minister Beto Prieto said: “We have implemented a broad and territorial administration, always taking into account the peculiarities of each of the 399 municipalities of Paraná. Our north is to take care of health resources and care up to the doors of people’s homes.”
incentives – In addition to the resources for health transportation, other cost and incentive measures implemented by Sesa were also presented to municipal managers. For primary health care and oral health, the amount exceeds R$50 million annually. As for UBS equipment, the allocated resources exceed R$10 million.
“We have possibilities to extend these transfers to primary care, and to strengthen and accelerate the country’s ability to regionalize health. These are expressive values that allow us to ensure humane care and close to people’s homes,” Goretti concluded.
