Following the Government Council meeting on Thursday 7 December, the Madeiran CEO said he became aware of “An editorial announcement regarding the competition for investments related to the construction from scratch and the expansion and/or redesign of infrastructure to create new residential units, i.e. in the classification of continuous integrated mental health care.”
The goal, as the statement sent to newsrooms explains, is to create 137 new places, divided into: maximum support accommodation (60), independent accommodation (15) and self-government training accommodation (62). any, “Allocating 12.6% of the global target of 1,080 places for continuing mental health care.
In the Social Area, IHM – Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM is licensed to rent “Os Especiais – Associação de Inclusion Social”, a non-residential space of 97.64 m2, located in the Santo Amaro II residential complex, in Funchal.
The Government Council also approved the signing of a program contract between the Autonomous Region of Madeira and APRAM – Port Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, SA, for the years 2023 and 2024, with a maximum total value of 880 thousand euros for the project. Acquisition of equipment for boarding and disembarking passengers, handling cargo and vehicles, and replacing the fence and access control system at the Port of Funchal.
A Sports Development Program (CPDD) contract was also awarded from the participatory budget of the Autonomous Community of Madeira, in connection with the purchase of a vehicle by the Associação Desportiva e Recreativa de Água de Pena, for a total amount of €42,000, and the implementation of a program contract with the Associação da Costa. Oeste in the amount of 8,350 euros, with the aim of sharing the costs incurred in holding the 2023 edition of the “Mostra do Maracujá e Derivados” event.
Likewise, the Madeiran Executive decided to acquire, through private law, for a total value of €121,475.16, two plots of land necessary for the work of the “New Link Quebradas – Amparo – Phase I – Tunnels”, as well as how to authorize the fees in relation to the support granted under Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy of Portugal (PEPAC Portugal) for the Autonomous Community of Madeira for the period 2023-2027 and ratification of the partial suspension of the Master Plan of the Municipality of Santa Cruz (PDMSC).
At this meeting of the Government Council, two votes of commendation were also approved. The first is for Dr. Jorge Paulo Antunes de Oliveira, “for the qualities he has shown throughout his career, as well as for showing the spirit of mission and dedication to the common cause” and the second is for Madeiran athlete Bernardo Andrade Leica Pereira, Clube Naval da Calheta and Associação Regional de Canoagem da Madeira, for winning the bronze medal at the ICF Championships Ocean Racing Championship 2023, in the SS1 category, in the men’s U23 category, in the sea rowing method.
