FifthArias are the extraordinary stories that happen during flights and involve passengers and flight attendants, who are the first to encounter any problem inside the plane.
Such was the case with a flight from Istanbul (Turkey) to Delhi (India) on December 16th. According to the Daily Mail, the confrontation began when a man ordered a sandwich that was not available on the menu.
A staff member tried to explain to him that “there is a message and the meals are numbered”, but the female passenger interrupted and sparked a heated discussion, which was videotaped and shared on social media.
She defended the woman, “My crew is crying because of you, please try to understand. I’m trying to listen to you calmly and with all due respect, but you have to respect the crew too. I’m not your maid”, after the man yelled at her.
During the discussion, with both sides already excited, the individual told the flight attendant to shut up and she retaliated in kind.
The airline IndiGo, for which the woman works, released a statement saying it was investigating the incident and ensuring that “customer comfort has always been its top priority.”
