The new Medical and Health Council (CCS) has been appointed for the health center group (ACeS) Oeste Norte.
The new working group was chaired by Erica Rocha, assistant general and family medicine physician. She is assisted by nursing member Alexandra Cosme, Renato Martins, Public Health Assistant), and Helena Damaso (a superior tech in oral health diagnosis and treatment).
The CCS is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of care provided, guiding and directing technical standards, specifically in compliance with national programmes, establishing procedures to ensure quality health care, approving clinical guidelines regarding prescribing, complementary diagnostics and treatment, as well as clinical protocols, and proposing external audits To comply with clinical guidelines and protocols.
It is also responsible for supporting the Executive Director in matters of technical, professional and clinical management, monitoring the level of satisfaction of ACeS professionals, organizing and monitoring continuing professional development and investigation activities, and deciding on conflicts of a technical nature.
ACeS Oeste Norte covers health centers in Alcobaça, Bombarral, Caldas da Rainha, Ubidos, Nazaré and Peniche.
