The best solar panel brands of 2023 that you can install in your home have been revealed. The evaluation, conducted by RETC, took into account aspects such as resistance, reliability and performance of each brand.
What are the best solar panels you can install in your home?
The quest for a sustainable world is a common goal for all, with the majority choosing to invest in renewable energy. Therefore, as technology continues to evolve, it is necessary to look for the best options, as solar panels are the most chosen option by users all over the world.
Hence, it is necessary to choose high-quality solar panels, in order to harness the sun’s energy more efficiently. To help consumers make the best choice, the Renewable Energy Testing Center (RETC) has released its latest report explaining what they are The best solar panels of 2023!
What aspects are evaluated in solar panel tests?
This evaluation took into account the following aspects of different solar panel brands:
- resistance
- credibility
- Quality
- Solar panel performance
Resistance to the elements
Solar panels have undergone various tests, thus determining their durability and long-term performance.
One of the most important tests for evaluating solar panels was the hail resistance test. This is the aspect where solar panels suffer the most from kinetic impact (simulating 30 years of hail).
They also simulated the resistance of solar panels when exposed to other environmental stresses, which affect the degradation of solar panels over time.
J. A. Solar, Jinko Solar, and Trina Solar These were the solar panel brands that showed the best results when facing the cold.
Astroenergy, GA Solar, LONGi Solar, RONEnergy The brands that performed best against environmental stresses, with a 2% reduction in energy, were when exposed to extreme conditions of freezing, humidity, thermal capacity, extreme exposure to sunlight, static charging and UV radiation.
Increased efficiency and resistance to degradation
The efficiency offered by solar panels is the factor that consumers take into consideration when choosing the brand with the best solar performance. This measures the percentage of solar energy that is converted into electrical energy.
Of the 14 solar panels evaluated by RETC, all had energy efficiencies of more than 20%, followed by the TOPCon n-type solar panel, which achieved an impressive 25.8% efficiency, with the efficiency of heterogeneous monocrystalline silicon solar panels By 22.4%.
These values show the importance of choosing solar panels with advanced technologies and designs.
LeTID and LID resistance tests evaluate solar panels for their ability to resist long-term degradation caused by exposure to light and high temperatures.
Brands like Apto Solar, GA Solar, and Trina Solar It had a loss of less than 0.75%, after undergoing several extensive tests.
Reliability of solar panels
Reliability is another point to consider when choosing solar panels for your home. It is the aspect that will directly impact the useful life and return on your investment over time.
In these reliability tests, brands like Astrological energy and Yingli Solar energy had good results, with the degradation rate reaching less than 2% after more than 2,000 hours of exposure to the elements.
In another test, for static and dynamic mechanical load, in which the performance of panels is evaluated under different environmental pressures and winds, the best results were obtained by J. A. Solar and Trina Solarwith a degradation of less than 2%.
In the last test, against thermal cycles (extreme temperature changes), 80% of the solar panels had a power loss of less than 2%, and 2.4% of the solar panels had a loss of more than 4% or more!
Global results for the best solar panels of 2023
Based on all aspects of resistance, quality, performance and reliability, RETC has identified eight solar panel brands that are perfect to install in your home.
According to the study, there are eight of the best brands of solar panels that you can install in your home:
- astronomy
- GA Solar
