Street Fighter 6 It can be played at Japan Expo 2022 this weekend and we have some new mechanics related to the game.
Check out the list below. Remember that it’s all one The game is under development The final version may change.
Street Fighter 6 In the year 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
There is no cross in the corner of the screen
Cross Up is a type of movement that basically hits your opponent in the back. That is, to defend this type of attack, instead of pressing backwards as you normally would, you have to press forward. In most cases, this is an aerial attack and each character has some type of attack that causes this effect. For this reason, there is a “mind game” of having to guess what hit the opponent will use and calculating where they will land, in order to defend correctly.
In all games in the series so far, Cross Up can be performed at any point in combat. Now, it seems, in Street Fighter 6 This will not be possible in the corner of the screen. The video below shows Lock falling in front of his opponent using the same move that would cause the cross to enter Street Fighter V.
It’s not entirely surprising that this has been removed. Driving System Mechanisms SF6 It already punishes enough players trapped in the corner of the screen, so handling Cross Up would be an even bigger drawback.
SF6: The corner, no more crosshairs!
– Huge change for street fighter.

feature system
Handicap is nothing new in the fighting game, but Street Fighter 6 It offers something different. If you put the five star advantage, you will start the fight with all the bars (Super and Drive) full. Also, your health bar will recover automatically.
People who were at Japan Expo 2022 joked that this is basically a training mode.
FGC’s versatility never ceases to amaze me. An attendee told me, thanks for including the practice mode in the demo. I panic for a second and think there is a correction option that I don’t know about. Turns out they were just increasing the feature #JapanExpo2022

Punishment counter system
Street Fighter V Introduced the Crush Counter mechanic. Essentially, if you hit the opponent with a hard punch or kick and it’s a counterattack, they will go into a state of collapse (stunned), allowing them to receive combos.
Street Fighter 6 It looks like he will have a similar mechanic called Punish Counter. In the video below, we can see Ryu fall off his powerful kick and cause an effect similar to Crush Counter.
However, this only appears to happen when the opponent’s driving bar is empty (the effect of a hard hit or kick that causes the penalty counter).

juggling
Finally, we have the Punisher counter in the air. In the video below, Luke uses his Drive effect on Ryu’s Tatsumaki, causing a counter to be punished. Ryu doesn’t have an empty bar, so Punish Counter can happen when we add a counter to the drive effect as well.
The exciting thing here is that the effect took place in the air, allowing Luke to follow through with a combo on Ryu. To understand the importance of this, the movement can simply put Ryu on the ground, instead of spinning through the air for more strikes.
