NS15-year-old Rona Santana Prats Gomez was vaccinated against Covid-19 on Tuesday at the vaccination center in Santos, Sao Paulo. The young woman, who lost six members of her family to Covid-19, including her mother, decided to celebrate the moment of being vaccinated with a reminder that there are those who did not have the same opportunity.
“My mother passed away 16 days before my 15th birthday, which is a special date. Because of the pandemic there was no party, but one of my greatest wishes, when she was in the hospital, was that she would come out of anesthesia before my birthday., so that I could hear her congratulate me. It was hard to be I spend Christmas without her,” Cited by G1.
It should be noted that the young woman lost her 47-year-old mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and three uncles in less than three months. The uncle was the first to be injured, and the rest of the family followed him.
Bruna revealed that it was hard not to get irritated when taking the vaccine. “I took it for myself as much as I took it for them, who never had the opportunity to take this vaccine,” he stated. “There was tremendous emotion and a sense of gratitude for enduring all this and being here today.”

Remember, on Tuesday, Brazil reported 24,589 new coronavirus infections and 839 more deaths, according to the National Board of Health Trustees (CONAS). The country now has 20,776,870 confirmed cases and 580,413 deaths.
