Prince Harry plans to find a “permanent” home in England. According to Tom Quinn, an expert on the royal family and author of several books on the British monarchy, the Duke of Sussex wants to have a place to receive visits from friends who are not on good terms with his wife, Meghan Markle.
As of early 2020, Harry is living in California, USA. He abandoned his royal duties and moved in with the actress. However, after four years, the prince feels that he is “missing certain aspects of his old life”.
“Inevitably, the honeymoon period, when everything in America was new and exciting, has come to an end and Harry looks back on it very positively,” Quinn told The Mirror.
According to the writer, Harry misses his military friends who don’t see him in California because they “don’t get along” with Markle.
“Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK and that is one of the reasons he continues to insist on taking legal action to secure government-sponsored protection in the country,” added Queen.
After Harry moved to America, British authorities understood that he was no longer in the group requiring special protection. However, government-provided protection may still be due to the Sussexes after a “case-by-case” assessment.
The second son of King Charles III can challenge the decision of the Supreme Court of England, which confirmed the legality of the practices adopted by the British government.
Harry has not had an official home in England since he was evicted by Charles from Frogmore Cottage, located in the grounds of Windsor Castle, following the publication of his controversial memoir ‘What’s Left’.
