aBrazilian swimmer Carolina Vieira has been embroiled in controversy in recent days. The Canadian sprinter was expelled from the Games by the Brazilian Olympic Committee after leaving the Olympic Village on Friday without permission from the technical staff.
Faced with the situation, Ana Carolina Vieira was “disrespectful and aggressive” and ended up being accused of “improper conduct”, which led to her expulsion from the competition.
Via social media, the swimmer, who has already left Paris, travelled to Portugal and hinted that she would present her version of the facts.
“I left there and left my stuff, and I didn’t know what to do. My stuff is there. [na Aldeia Olímpica]“I went to the airport in shorts. I had to open my bag at the airport. I’m in Portugal, I’m going to Recife and then to São Paulo,” he told Ana Carolina Vieira, in a video posted on Instagram Stories.
“I am helpless, I couldn’t reach anything, I couldn’t talk to anyone. They asked me to contact the COB channels. But how would I be able to contact them? I already filed a harassment complaint and nothing was resolved, harassment within the team.”
“I will talk to the lawyers. I promise to tell you everything. I am sad, I am nervous, but my heart is peaceful because I know who I am, I know my personality and my nature. I hope I can do it. I defend Brazilian swimming with pride and I ask for patience and I thank you.”
