Kena: Bridge of Spirits has a high level of attraction and is one of the most awaited adventures by players, but it seems that the game can be unique. founders Ember Lab, the studio responsible for the game, said it was very difficult for a sequel to happen.
The information came from an interview with SoulVision Magazine. Mike and Josh Greer said they were unsure about the game’s sequel and would actually rather create a new IP with the same gaming footprint and storytelling experience.
“I don’t know if we’ll do a live follow-up. It could be another IP, in the same style – in terms of gameplay and story-based experience.
Kena and the universe we built have a lot of storytelling potential. So exploring that and transferring it to a linear experience, like a TV show or movie, is possible.”
Sobre Kena: The Bridge of Souls
In the game, players will take on the role of Kina, a young spirit guide who uses magical abilities to help the dead cross into the spirit world. The heroine will also take on the task of collecting wonderful companions, known as Rots.
Ember Lab has announced a new release date for the game. In just under a month, Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be released on September 21, 2021. In a Twitter post, the company said the postponement is until the team can “improve the game across all platforms.”
Previously, the game was scheduled to be one of the PS5 launch titles in November 2020, but it has been pushed back to the third quarter of 2021 due to the coronavirus.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits will come to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
