With the release of Android 12 approaching, it’s time for brands to start preparing their releases. After seeing some proposals, it is now OPPO’s turn to reveal ColorOS 12 and show the news that this customization will bring.
The most curious thing, though already expected, is to see that these new features will be used by OnePlus and possibly integrated into OxygenOS soon. This is an important step and begins a larger and broader partnership.
We are just a few days away from knowing the latest version of Android 12 and all the news that Google has put out this new summer. The improvements are many and focus on important areas, such as its interface and the necessary security and privacy.
ColorOS 12 was only introduced in China, and it follows the same line from the previous version And what we saw this week with Samsung's One UI 4. It takes what Google has created and adapts it, customizes it, and even brings you the improvements it deems necessary.
The list of new features is large and focuses, as we have said, primarily on the interface and what users can access. OPPO wants to simplify the user interface as much as possible, thus implementing the new language created by Google.
The layout is more spaced out, the text is more contrast, and the colors themselves are softer. There are also changes to the icons, with a smoother image, as well as changes in the animation. In all, there are 300 new items that try to make the actions on the smartphone more realistic.
Omoji, the 3D animated emoji, now comes to ColorOS, to collect, transform, and animate real user images. Another new feature is Smart Sidebar 2.0, which reinvents the OPPO system sidebar with new tools.
Color OS 12 also brings a new PC interconnection feature called Cross-Screen Interconnection. It allows users to use their smartphone directly, on any PC running Windows 10 or higher.
For now, this is still a development release and will be limited to China. The list of supported equipment is already known. The release schedule has also been revealed and indicates the coming months for this release.
