nImanja Matic, who currently plays for French club Rennes, gave an interview on Wednesday to the YU Planet YouTube channel, where he referred, among other topics, to his time in English football, more specifically with Chelsea and Manchester United.
The experienced Serbian international highlighted significant differences in the level of professionalism between the two English teams he represented while in the UK.
“At Chelsea, the players behaved professionally, were punctual and were never late for training, but at Manchester United, this happened every day,” Matic began.
“Among the players who were always late were Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho. The rest, who were always on time, were upset, so we decided to create a kind of internal disciplinary committee. I was the president. I put a sheet of paper on the wall, where I wrote down the names of the people.” Who arrived late. During one season, we were fined about 75,000 pounds – about 87,500 euros. Nemanja Matic left Chelsea for Manchester United in 2017 and was at Old Trafford until the end of the 2021/22 season. He was previously associated with the London club in the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 seasons, then returned in January 2014 until 2016/2017.
