On Sunday, Federal Minister of Health Mansukh Mandavia said he interacted with his Italian counterpart Roberto Speranza, on priority travel for vaccinated Indian students enrolled in educational institutions in Italy, and on improving bilateral cooperation in the field of health and medicine.
Mandaviya is in Rome, Italy, for the G20 Health Ministers’ meeting.
He said in a series of tweets: “I have interacted with Mr. Roberto Speranza, the Italian Minister of Health, to improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of health and medicine.”
Discuss priority travel for vaccinated Indian students enrolled in Italian educational institutions. Moreover, it invited Italian pharmaceutical companies to invest and expand their business in India.
In another tweet, the minister said he had invited the British Minister of State for Health and Welfare, Sajid Javid, to visit India and discussed with him a roadmap for a new health dialogue between the two countries.
He said, “The UK appreciates India’s treatment of COVID and congratulated it for giving the first dose of the #COVID19 vaccine to more than half of the population.”
“Our discussions included ways to advance digital health and improve access to new paradigms of telemedicine,” Mandavia said of his meeting with Javid, adding that he highlighted several areas of health collaboration. Mandavia also met his Brazilian counterpart.
“We had an excellent conversation with Mr. Marcelo Quiroga, Minister of Health of Brazil, for better cooperation in the field of health. We talk about One Health and the introduction of Nano-Urea for better results. In addition, we provide all the support from India that will help Brazil in the fight against disease tuberculosis,” he tweeted.
In another tweet published on Sunday evening, he said: “He participated in the 2021 G20 Health Ministers’ meeting organized by the Italian Presidency @G20org under the theme ‘People, Planet and Prosperity’. He participated in India’s response to monitor the impact of the #COVID19 pandemic on global health., With an assessment of detailed its consequences for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
