“We always use Madeira as a reference and example for the continent when it comes to healthcare management,” the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Nurses Union (SNE) said yesterday.
Emmanuel Boyero was received, Thursday, by Pedro Ramos, at the headquarters of the Regional Secretariat of Health and Civil Protection.
The leader of the National Union wanted to take advantage of his visit to the Autonomous Community of Madeira to present a symbolic plaque as a sign of recognition of “the work developed at RAM with nurses, for the vision of interdisciplinary nursing and health, with new responsibilities, new skills and new areas of intervention, evaluating the skills of professionals and proven capacities.” .
In this regard, Boero highlighted some of the pioneering measures applied in the Department of Administrative Affairs, in particular in evaluating performance and career progression, in anticipating measures in the context of COVID-19 and in assigning wage supplements to nurses.
On this occasion, the union leader also thanked the “willingness” shown by the regional government, in the person of the regional Minister of Health, to work with the National Union of Nurses (SNE).
