How the danger zone works in Battlefield 2042
After a lot of rumors and leaked information that has not been confirmed, EA and DICE have officially revealed the new mode for Battlefield 2042 or danger zone.
The story begins in the year 2040 of the game, when a global blackout event suddenly reduced the number of satellites by about 70%. From that moment on, the United States and Russia began launching so-called temporary satellites to collect information such as aerial photos, heat map images, identity surveys, and more.
These satellites are then removed so that the occupation forces can collect the collected information. However, the No-Pats playable characters seek this information for their own safety and send task forces to retrieve it.
How it works
In a platoon of four, locate and retrieve critical data engines scattered across the battlefield, taking factions with the same goal and occupying power. Successfully collecting data engines and determining the exact time to extract them, before a storm takes over the region in this unique high-risk experiment. Every bullet, every struggle, every decision counts.
You and your platoon will be assigned a mission: secure the capsules and restore the data drives inside. Beware of rival factions that share the same goal and occupying forces that protect content with their own lives.
Restoring data drives is one thing, but securing them long enough to reach the extraction is another. Two extraction windows are available for each match at random locations. You’ll need to use all your skills, tactical planning, and maybe a little luck to get out alive.
Big risks can lead to big rewards, and the danger zone provides both in abundance. The more information you collect, the more EXP and Underground Credits you will get. More Credits will create better gear for you and your team in the next match.
