Brazil remains the second country in which more plastic surgeries are performed in the world, with about 1.4 million procedures per year, according to data from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Among the most requested cosmetic procedures, rhinoplasty is the second process among the desires of Brazilians who seek to have a more symmetrical and attractive face.
However, this surgery, in addition to providing beauty and increasing self-esteem, can also improve the health of the individual, especially the respiratory system, since there is a possibility to correct a deviated nasal septum and treat nasal corneas – a valid alternative to these. Indications

Another case in which rhinoplasty is recommended to aid health is the case of turbinectomy. “This is a functional surgical procedure aimed at reducing the size of the nasal cavity or the corneas within the mucous-covered nostril cavity. Its function is to heat, humidify and filter the air you breathe.”
Not all septal deviations require surgery. Recommendations are made only when the condition causes problems for the patient, such as difficulty breathing.
