In the case of doctors, “you need the courage to confront the excessive union vision that has not contributed to the survival of doctors in the SNS.” He promised: “We will train more doctors, create more medical schools in hospitals, and we will receive them and spread them throughout the territory.”
The chief executive also announced the creation of more places for medical courses, to compensate for doctors retiring from the NHS.
“One of the cornerstones of this green mobility is the railway. I announce that we will decide to create a railway pass of 20 euros per month that will give access to all urban, regional and intercity trains.
“Whoever lives in Braga and wants to go to Porto or Aveiro, whoever lives in Aveiro and wants to go to Leiria and Lisbon, whoever lives in Lisbon and wants to go to Lisbon or Faro will have the opportunity to do so for 20 euros per month,” he added.
