The brother of the president of Náutico, a Series B team for the Brazilian Championship, has been appointed as a harasser.
The case of sexual and moral harassment, caused by an employee of Náutico, a Series B team in the Brazilian championship, has sparked controversy in Brazilian football. The brother of the president and in charge of the club’s financial management, Errisson Rosendo de Melo has been named as the author of several cases of abuse against female staff.
The case was made public on Monday, when Tatiana Roma, now a former club director, used social media to expose the harassment. The case was also taken to the police. “He asked me if I liked threesomes and said Namshi was hot,” Tatiana said. He added, “He came to a security officer and asked me not to do anything I told him because I was of no value to me.”
According to the “Globosport” website, the cases occurred three years ago, in the first half of 2018, which coincides with the beginning of the first year of the administration of President Edno Mello, the brother of the accused. And the same source revealed, on Wednesday, that other female employees were subjected to the same harassment.
A former employee told reporter João de Andrade Neto: “He used to give kisses on my daughter’s face, almost in the corner of her mouth. My daughter was terrified. I’m a fan of Náutico and my daughters have always been to the club.”
This case is under investigation.
