After returning to the UK for Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee in June, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a date to return to the country. As revealed by a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the couple will land on the Queen’s grounds in September. On this occasion, the duo will visit associations “close to their hearts,” as explained by a representative of Archie and Lilibet Diana’s parents. But the news was not well received by royal fans.
A spokesman for the couple said: “Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are delighted to visit a number of charities close to their hearts in early September.” Upon learning of the announcement, fans of the royal family used Twitter to criticize the couple’s movements on British soil. Archie and Lilibet’s parents resigned from their duties in the monarchy in March 2020.

Angela Levin, a commentator on matters related to the Windsor dynasty, considers the couple’s return to the European country suspicious. Harry and Meghan are coming to the UK for ‘charities close to their hearts’. Will the Queen be at Balmoral and William in the US for Earshot? Is this part of an attempt at an alternative royal family? ‘Strange times,’ declared the writer.
The profile of the fan club dedicated to Prince William and Kate Middleton, Love Cambridge, highlighted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not miss the opportunity to attract the attention of their subjects: “Why is this important and should be revealed? They are no longer royals and the vast majority of people do not care about these two traitors.” The account added: “They should stop pretending that they are still working for the company and live life in the present, not the past.”
According to Royal Stuff, a profile focusing on senior British royals, the Duke of Sussex’s trip to European soil “smacks of desperation.” The account published a post quoting lines said by the couple in controversial interviews. “We hate the UK and how dare they not fund our security. The British public and media are racist, and our family is racist.”

The Sussex couple’s itinerary will begin in the Queen’s estate in Manchester. For their first stop, Harry and Meghan will attend the One Young World Summit. The former Hollywood actress will speak on the first day of the event, which supports young leaders from more than 190 countries, on September 5. She is an advisor to the organization, along with Justin Trudeau, Richard Branson and Jamie Oliver. Next, the duo will arrive in Germany, where they will attend an Invictus Games celebration.
After attending the sporting event in Germany, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will return to the UK. On British soil, they will participate in the WellChild Awards ceremony on September 8th. It is not known whether the couple will take their children Archie and Lilibet on the tour.
