Senators have made several changes to the bill coming from the National Assembly, such as using the sewer corridor only until the end of the health emergency, which will run through October 31.
The Senate wants the health card not to be used in malls, due to access to supermarkets, nor on the terraces of bars and restaurants. The health permit should also not be applied to minors, according to changes introduced by senators.
Senators also want children aged 16 to 17 not needing parental permission to get vaccinated. The mandatory isolation measures for the infected have also been eased.
The French Chamber II also wants the commitment of all other public spaces to begin on September 15 and not on August 30, according to the association’s request.
Senators and Representatives will meet this afternoon in a joint committee to agree on these amendments.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, France has counted 111,638 deaths among the 5.9 million infected.
The Covid-19 pandemic has killed at least 4.1 million people worldwide, among more than 192.5 million infected, according to the latest report by Agence France-Presse.
Covid-19 is a respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which was discovered in late 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China, and has spread rapidly throughout the world.
