DrIn this way, he emphasized that the two countries have succeeded in establishing “ideal” indicators regarding international trade, and for this reason Moscow and Ankara also maintain good relations.
“We have no problems in relations with Russia and we are not in a position to impose sanctions on Russia as the West does,” he said in an interview with US television channel CNN.
“We have a strong country and good relations with Russia,” he added.
In this sense, he qualified the country to achieve its “goals” regarding international trade, and emphasized that the majority of tourists who come to Turkey are Russians.
In May, the Turkish president criticized the position of his main rival in the presidential elections, the opposition Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who calls for following the path of the international community regarding sanctions against Moscow.
Then the Turkish head of state indicated that he would not allow the opposition to attack Russia and its President, Vladimir Putin.
