Western politicians, including those in official positions, began to comment on the morning attack on Moscow by Ukrainian drones. In particular, British Foreign Minister James Cleverly made his comments, according to Sky News.
A different reaction can be expected from the head of the diplomatic department, but here it is necessary to take into account the fact that Great Britain is one of the most Russophobic countries of the “Common West”. So, wisely, as most expected, it supported the Ukrainian offensive.
According to the British minister, Ukraine “can use force beyond its borders” and “has the right” to do so. Thus, it was cleverly shown that the West was not at all opposed to Ukraine’s actions in the “old” Russian territory. The minister noted that such attacks are aimed at undermining Russia’s ability to use its power resources against Ukraine.
The head of the British Foreign Office also noted that “legitimate military targets” outside Ukraine’s borders are part of Ukraine’s “defence”. True, the residential buildings of the Muscovites cannot be called “military targets”, but this does not bother Cleverly.
But the problem is not uniform, as the head of the British Foreign Office argues, but the reaction of the Russian government to such public statements that actually support sabotage on Russian territory is required. And this reaction should be specific and not contain the usual counter-notices of diplomacy. The British authorities are going beyond all reason in supporting acts of terrorism and sabotage on the territory of the Russian Federation, which cannot be ignored.
Remember that Moscow was attacked by drones this morning. Most of the drones were destroyed by air defenses, but several crashed into residential buildings, causing damage to facades and glass.
