Brazil will receive a trial seeking to test the benefits of a week of a job four days. initiative from 4 days a weeka non-profit community carrying out pilot projects like this all over the world, and the Brazilian Association of Reconnecting Happiness at Work.
The project made the news this week and launched a form on its official website for interested companies to clarify their doubts, available at this link. Clarification sessions will be held in June, according to the initiative. The calendar will remain closed and the information will be released.
The organizers believe that the adoption of the four-day working week is a strategy that focuses on working smart, making it possible to invest in employee well-being and increase productivity. 4 Day Week states that it endorses the 100-80-100 model, which is 100% salary, 80% time, 100% productivity.
According to the initiative, tests already conducted around the world, such as in the United States, Ireland and Iceland, show that there is increased productivity, greater talent attraction and retention, deeper customer engagement, as well as better health, well-being and employee happiness.
In the UK, the test was successful. As a result, the majority of the 61 companies that participated from June through December said they would move forward with shorter working hours, and most employees were less stressed and had a better work-life balance.
The companies’ bills remained practically the same during the test period last year and even increased compared to the same six months of the previous year, according to the results released in February of this year.
The test was conducted with researchers from Boston College and Autonomy, a research organization focused on the future of work, as well as 4 Day Week Global.
