At this moment, it is necessary for the state to be organized to receive these people, as well as to accommodate their families, says the Technical Director of the Health District of Sessa Prison, Joao Neto. “That’s why we will be communicating with each of the five health districts in Ceara to develop this plan based on their local experiences,” he adds.
Also according to Neto, the idea is to offer a new cycle of workshops specifically for professionals in the judiciary. The training should take place in the second half of 2023.

Workshop session
The workshops started in May 2023, and were attended by representatives of Sesa, the Secretariat of Prisons and Resettlement Administration (SAP), the Solicitor General of the State of Ceará and the Court of Justice of the State of Ceará (TJCE). The meetings consisted of presentations by the oversight bodies of the regions of Fortaleza, Sertão Central, Littoral Leste/Jaguarbe, Kariri and North.
