The Municipal Council of the City of Castro Verde and the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA) will sign a protocol for the rehabilitation and expansion of the Health Center and Basic Emergency Service (SUB) in Castro Verde.
The concert will take place on January 25 (Thursday), at 12 noon, at Salão Nobre dos Paços do Município.
The initiative, attended by the Mayor of Castro Verde, António José Brito, and the Chairman of the ULSBA Board of Directors, José Carlos Quemado, aims to mark the start of the rehabilitation process of this sanitary equipment, which will be implemented by the municipality and financed within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). , in an investment expected to reach approximately 2.1 million euros.
The Castro Verde Health Center, i.e. Basic Emergency Service (SUB), responds to a large number of users. With its great proximity to the relevant highways (IP2, EN2 and A2), as well as to the two largest Portuguese mines (Neves-Corvo and Algostril), it welcomes around 40,000 people from the municipalities of Castro Verde, Algostrell, Almodovar, Ourique and Mértola.
