Looking back on his second season at Wolverhampton, Bruno Laage left a warning to the board, reminding the need to hire reinforcements, capable of adding quality and, above all, depth to a short squad.
“From Manchester City to Norwich, every team will try to improve reinforcements. It’s still too early to talk about that, but we have a specific plan. We are in eighth and we want to improve, but for that we have to do our best to convince the players we want. We need To raise the level of the team and create competitiveness in the team”, he began by saying the Portuguese, remembering the many injuries that affected some key players throughout the season, such as Pedro Neto, Johnny or Willy Poli.
“We got to a position in the table in January or February with 10 or 11 players and you have to understand that we got to 40 points and that place without some players. It’s essential that they understand what I want, how I want to play and I need players who are available and ready, at any time, to be able to enter 11. Ambition and motivation come from wanting to improve, otherwise we’re hitting 40. And “suspension”, explained Bruno Lage.
