At the “Create The Uncreated” virtual launch event, Asus expanded its line of creator-focused laptops with the launch of the new ProArt Studiobook 16 series, Vivobook 14X and 16X, and new Zenbook laptops. As the Taiwanese giant is targeting content creators, every laptop presented today includes OLED screens.
This is combined with the latest 11th generation Intel and Ryzen 5000 series processors and Nvidia RTX 30 GPUs to deliver the performance needed for continuous content creation.
Creator-focused Asus laptops launched with OLED display and DialPad
First, we have the Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 and Pro 16, which are designed specifically for this segment. Both feature a 16-inch 4K OLED HDR display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 3840 x 2460 resolution. The panel also features 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 550 nits of maximum brightness, and Pantone-certified certifications. calm.
In terms of hardware, Asus has diversified from both Intel and AMD. The ProArt Studiobook 16 series comes with Intel, Ryzen 5000 series CPUs, and Nvidia GPUs. However, there are some differences between the Standard variant and the Pro version. The internals here are backed by the Asus IceCool Pro thermal solution, which operates up to 110 watts in normal mode and up to 140 watts in performance mode. However, the highlight of the ProArt Studiobook 16 series has to be the physical DialPad. Asus has partnered with Adobe to make it easier for creators to control certain functions in Photoshop, After Effects or Premiere Pro using a dial.
Asus also offers up to 64GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM and 4 PCIe 3.0 or PCIe 4.0 SSDs. As for connectivity options, the ProArt Studiobook 16 and Pro 16 include 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, 1x Thunderbolt 4, an HDMI 2.1 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and an SD Express 7.0 card reader (educators desperately needed.). Alongside the ProArt Studiobook 16 lineup, Asus has unveiled a variety of peripherals, including an OLED display, ProArt mouse, and more. It also features a laser sensor that tracks up to 4,200 dpi, a 1,000 Hz search rate, and a side scroll wheel, among other things.
The ProArt Display PA32DC, on the other hand, features a 31.5-inch 4K OLED panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, 0.1ms response time, 99% DCI-P3 color gamut, and Adobe RGB. The screen also supports HDR, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and an automatic color calibration feature.
Asus Vivobook Pro 14X / 16X e Vivobook 14/15
Asus has also released Vivobook Pro 14X and 16X with OLED panels up to 4K, a virtual Asus DialPad on the trackpad to make it easier for creators to make subtle changes, and both Intel/AMD SKUs. As the name suggests, the Vivobook 14X and 16X feature 14-inch and 16-inch 4K HDR OLED displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 600 nits of maximum brightness, and slim bezels. The company claims to offer the world’s first 16-inch 16:10 4K OLED display with the Vivobook Pro X16.
Both models of the Vivobook Pro are very light, with the 14-inch version weighing just 1.45 kg. These laptops have a sleek design and a good two-tone keyboard design with a bright orange Esc key. The keyboard is backlit and the keys have a proper 1.35mm stroke.
The Vivobook Pro X14 and X16 includes Intel Core H-series processors, AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series and even a GeForce RTX 3050Ti GPU and also supports up to 32GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and up to 96Whr battery to support the efforts Creative while operating motion.
On the other hand, standard Vivobook 14/15 laptops feature up to 2.8K OLED with 16:10 aspect ratio and up to 2880 x 1800 resolution. These laptops also have Ryzen 11th generation H-series and Ryzen 5000 H-series SKUs with GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. The rest of the specs are very similar to the Pro variants. Both variants do not have the default Asus DialPad and instead, come equipped with a virtual number pad.
Zenbook 14X e Zenbook 14 Flip OLED
In addition to the ProArt Studiobook and Vivobook sets, Asus has also launched the Zenbook 14X and Zenbook 14 Flip to give users more options for portable and powerful creative machines. Both laptops feature 14-inch OLED HDR displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio, slim bezels, 11th generation Intel H-series processors, Ryzen 5000 H-series processors, and more. Innovative Asus features such as ScreenPad and Ergolift hinge are present in these models.
