The public prosecutor’s office in Toulon, France, has launched an investigation into a billboard depicting French President Emmanuel Macron as Adolf Hitler, comparing the restrictive policy of containing the pandemic to the Nazi regime.
The giant poster is located in the outskirts of Toulon and Lassen-sur-Mer and shows a picture of Macron in Nazi costume and the famous mustache of Adolf Hitler, RT wrote.
The main objective of the investigation is the owner of advertising space. Witnesses said that last week one of the paintings displayed the word “disgrace.”

The billboard also has the letters LREM – short for La Republique En Marche de Macron – to replace the swastika, on the red background adopted by the German Nazi Party.
The French government has faced a wave of criticism since the passage of a law on compulsory vaccinations for health professionals and the introduction of vaccination certificates for entering cultural and recreational venues.
On Saturday, some 114,000 people demonstrated across France to protest what they believe is an unjust interference with their private lives. The demonstrators chanted “freedom”. Macron called for his resignation.
