The attack happened in Southport, near Liverpool, when 25 children aged between six and 11 were attending a dance and yoga workshop.
Two children were seriously injured and 11 others were injured. 6 of them and two adults are in critical condition. Merseyside Police believe the adults were injured while trying to protect the minors.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested for the attack. According to authorities, the motivation for the attack is “not clear”, but they rule out the possibility of terrorism.
