Poll: Most Democrats Think Kamala Harris Would Make a Good President

Americans are evenly split on Whitmer: 24% have a favorable view and 22% have an unfavorable view.

Trump’s running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, is unknown to most Americans. In an AP-NORC poll conducted before Trump chose Vance as his running mate, six in 10 people didn’t know enough about the candidate to form an opinion.

About two in 10 American adults have a favorable view of Vance and about two in 10 have an unfavorable view of him. Among Republicans, 61% don’t know enough to have an opinion about Vance. About a quarter have a favorable view and about one in 10 have an unfavorable view.

The US presidential election will be held on November 5.
