The next big thing for Galaxy AI is expected to be a video-related AI tool that could reach the public with the launch of One UI 6.1.1. The suggestion came from Ice Universe, one of the well-known leakers of Samsung products, via a post on the X platform (the old Twitter), last Thursday (25).
In the post, Ice Universe limited itself to saying that “the main innovation of One UI 6.1.1 will be AI for video,” without giving more details about what the tool will be able to do.
AI video on Samsung phones
AI Video Reference could be a resource for creating videos from text, similar to OpenAI's Sora, or a suite of advanced AI editing tools.
Currently, Galaxy devices feature Creative Image Editing, which allows you to resize, remove objects and change their position in the image, as well as Instant Slow-Mo, which uses artificial intelligence to create frames and transform videos with slow motion effects.

The post includes a photo of Samsung's head of mobile, TM Roh, with Google's senior vice president of devices and services, Rick Osterloh. “Our partnership has never been stronger. I am excited about our collaboration in AI and the many opportunities that lie ahead for both companies,” Osterloh wrote.
For now, we have to wait for official news regarding the new AI tools on Galaxy AI devices, but the reference already provides a good perspective for owners of Samsung's latest mobile phones.
Artificial intelligence in the galaxy
The Galaxy S24 models introduced new AI features in January, while the S23 line received these new features two months later. It's possible the same pattern will be repeated with One 6.1.1 and the new video AI – whatever that may be.
