Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva announced, Friday, that “the list of Russian figures linked to the oligarchy and the regime that will be punished” will increase “in the coming days” according to an “additional list submitted by Poland.”

In addition to this measure, the head of the foreign affairs portfolio said that “more sanctions will be applied to the SWIFT system, the international system and economic transactions,” without giving details of what they would be.
“There will be new measures to isolate Russia in international organizations, namely in multilateral financial institutions,” he said.
The list containing the new names of the oligarchs who will be punished must be announced in the Official Journal of the European Union once the process is closed.
