The state of Rio de Janeiro has recorded an 11% decrease in the number of deaths from the novel coronavirus and a 6% increase in hospitalizations due to severe acute respiratory syndrome (SRAG), according to version 45 of its Covid-19 risk map. , released this Friday (27) by the Ministry of Health (SES). The analysis compares epidemiological week 32 (August 8 to August 14) and 30 (July 25 to July 31) of 2021.

The risk map shows that the bed occupancy rate in Rio de Janeiro is 70% for the intensive care unit (ICU) and 46% for the ward.
Of the state’s nine regions, five are on the yellow flag: Metropolitana II, North, Baixada Liturania, Central South, and Medio Paraíba. Serrana and Baía da Ilha Grande are in the orange range, while Metropolitana lea Noroeste is in the red flag.
Each flag represents a risk level and a set of social isolation recommendations, starting with purple (high risk), red (high risk), orange (medium risk), yellow (low risk), and green (very low risk).
